Kyambogo University student dies few hours to her graduation

Kyambogo University Student died today a few hours to her graduation as the University commenced its 17th graduation ceremony.
Tracy Ndagire had completed the requirements in fulfilment for a Bachelor of Science in Surveying and Land Information Systems and was set to graduate on Thursday, 23rd September. The cause of her death is still not clear.
Today’s graduation only first class students attended the ceremony physically, others  followed via television and other virtual platforms.

Recently, the university released the list of graduands ahead of the Institution’s 17th graduation that started today Wednesday, September 21, 2021.

According to the graduation list, a total of 2651 students will graduate with Bachelor Degrees and Diplomas of which 2414 are finalists and 237 being mop-up graduands.

The graduation ceremony that is slated to run for a period of three (3) days started with the Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation and School of Management and Entrepreneurship.

Other faculties that will graduate subsequently include Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Vocational Studies on Wednesday followed by Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education on Wednesday.

The Graduation will be broadcast live on NTV Uganda, and the University’s social media streams.

President Museveni and First Lady Janet K Museveni who is also the Education Minister are expected to attend the ceremony with the former presiding over as the chief guest.
