AIGP Asan Kasingye is being blackmailed by Lawrence Mulindwa’s Vipers in Match fixing game

By Jeremiah Kaniampiha

Following AIGP Asan Kasingye’s conduct last month in the game between Police FC and Vipers SC where he showed dissatisfaction with the match officials after Police FC goalkeeper was shown a red card, now FUFA says they are banning Afande Kasingye or penalizing him.

The Drones have gathered that Lawrence Mulindwa, the owner of Vipers SC, had reportedly influenced  match fixing games, which led to unfair defeat of Police Football Club against his Vipers SC.  Therefore, Afande Asan Kasingye is unfairly treated because the moneyed Mulindwa is reportedly using money influence to manipulate the whole thing. Apparently, all stories reporting this discrepancies have been deleted  from the networks.

Due to money influence, FUFA is using its mandate to squeeze Afande Kasingye. Now, the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned Police FC Chairman Asan Kasingye for violating Article 39(2) of the FUFA Ethics Code which provides that;

Persons bound by this Code are forbidden from making any public statements of a defamatory nature towards FUFA and /or towards any other person bound by this code in the context of FUFA events.

Asan Kasingye is sanctioned with;

  1. A minimum fine of UGX 2.5M ( Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings Only) under Article 39 (3) and Article 40 (2) of the FUFA Ethics Code. The fine must be paid within thirty (30) days from receipt of the decision.
  2. An automatic six months ban from all football related activities both Nationally and Internationally to be served in the event that Asan Kasingye commits any other specified unethical conduct against match officials or club officials or in case he fails to furnish proof of payment of the fine.
