The place around AKU, (Aga Khan University) has become very dangerous. Since around 6:30 pm yesterday several people have lost their phones and other variables.
The worst scenario has been when two people (men) of Asian origin have been beaten up and stabbed with knives. One was stabbed through the mouth and the knife went deep in the throat as he shouted for help. The other had both legs broken with complete fractures after violently kicking and stabbing him at the back.
Several people gathered and the students and a one Dr. Ahmed went with gloves and other first aid material to rescue the lives of helpless men. They however found when other helpers had put them in a car to the nearest clinic at Martin road.
The assailants were seen walking in the field and distributing their loot publicly and later joined the road towards gateway bus station.
As this story was being compiled they again beat another woman and grabbed her bag. These were some of the incidents for yesterday evening.
Three days ago they attacked a slow moving vehicle and broke all the glass material including head lamps that would seemingly make them to be identified. They picked variables from the car then took off with bodabodas and others slowly walked away punching any body who looked a threat to them.
The other day a man went bleeding at 6:00pm as he walked from shopping from town. This happened in front of the gate of Aga Khan University. It is very difficult to move in front of the gate.
At other instances if one is not seen obviously with any variables they suspect he should be having one so they surround him and check all the pockets as they inflict pain on him. So by the time they finish robbing you they leave you attending to pain. So apart from God’s mercy there is no safe time around AKU (Aga Khan University). Some thing must be done.
It is indeed scary and the worst thing is that these boys are seen publicly sharing their loots and walking about unabashed. There is really need for actions before this leads to a serious injury on the staff or students and people around or worse loss of lives. If anything is to go by the attack on Anil should have warranted a tougher measure by now. These boys were seen and nothing was done.
