Breaking! Ambassador Waswa Ggaliwango Succumbs To Heart Complications In Kenya

The sad news landing on our desk indicates that Uganda’s ambassador to Kenya Dr Hassan Waswa Ggaliwango has died.

Ggaliwango is the proprietor of Mbale Progressive secondary school, the pioneer private secondary school in Mbale city. He is also the husband of Mbale City Woman MP, Connie Nakayenze Ggaliwango.

Reports quoting a family source state that Ggaliwango passed away in a hospital in where he had spent a couple of days battling heart complications.

Before he was appointed as ambassador to Kenya, Ggaliwango served as the director of finance at the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party Secretariat. Prior to this, he served as Mbale Resident District Commissioner (RDC) and Mbale Industrial Division LC III chairperson.

According to Mulindwa Senior Manager information and public relations NRM Dr. Galiwango served NRM genuinely for the 11years and his fingerprints are still visible on many achievements the party registered during his tenure.

Dr. Galiwango sometimes reffered to by the staff would rarely miss work and was always available for any challenges at the party headquarters. He attended to all sorts of issues ranging from demonstrators to those walking in for help. He was not only a team player but an advisor and a role model.

” Some of use were not only his surbodnates, but silent students of public administration and management at our place of work. a session with him on matters of academics would not leave you the same” Rogers Mulindwa said.

 

The late Galiwango Hassan Wasswa Ugandan High Commissioner to Kenya and Sychelles, former Director of finance and administration at the NRM secretariat and the Director Mbale Progressive sec School Hassan Galiwongo will be lied to rest tomorrow at Jami in Budaka District the ancestral Cemetery

Arrangements will be held in Nakaloke play grounds.
