The former Capital Fm died early this month, June 6, 2022. Bright Baba, who also works at Kisementi -based Capital Fm, broke the news and confirmed his death.

Bright posted on his twitter handle, ” I do not know how to say this. I just received bad news about passing on of a big brother Alexander Ndawula at Nsambya Hospital. Alex, may your soul Rest in Eternal Peace.”

Dj Alex was unwell for many months, actually over a year then. The Drone Media had published news about his sickness and treatment at St. Francis Nsambya Hospital in January 2, 2021. The legend DJ was bedridden for one and ahalf years.

Like all African families, Ndawula’s family got some issues and it is what delayed his burial.

The celebrated disc jockey and radio personality was born in New York, USA, in 1963 and relocated to Uganda when he was eight years old, after his father passed on.

He later joined St. Mary’s College Kisubi but one year  later went to Nairobi,  after which he joined  Namasagali College for  his  high school and finally Nakawa Technical Institute where he studied  Marketing.

By the time he resigned his job at Capital FM in 2017 he had served the station for a whooping 20 years although he had been in the radio business longer than that.
