Full Figure banned from Salt TV
In 2021, Full Figure aka Nakajubi Jennifer was suspended from Bukedde TV. A letter was issued by the UCC ED Irene Kaggwa, which suspended the airing of Bukedde TV’s Full Blast show after a fierce altercation between Pastor Martin Ssempa and Full Figure.On 30th September, 2021, Pastor Martin Ssempa and Full Figure almost traded punches after a disagreement live on the Full Blast show on Bukedde TV.
The program hosted by Godfrey Sseguya was then suspended by UCC after the video of the altercation went viral online. The statement issued by the Uganda Communications Commission said the show had “demeaning and abusive language” used by the guests; Pastor Martin Ssempa, Isma Lubega, and Jennipher Namutebi Nakangubi (a.k.a Full Figure).
It further noted that the producer or presenter of the program did not provide professional control or guidance to the guests during the program, which resulted into a physical confrontation between some of the guests.
Now, The Drone Media has learnt that Full Figure has reportedly been fired from Salt TV over the use of inappropriate language. This was after a whistleblower petitioned UCC.
A whistleblower identified as Gabriel Bbule petitioned UCC’s executive director, Irene Kaggwa Ssewankambo, saying the show contained abusive language and allegations against different individuals that are not substantiated.
To cap it, they were presented in a sensational manner, something that breaches the minimum broadcasting standards of the Uganda Communications Commission. They also say Jennifer Full Figure is unprofessional.
UCC was quick to react to the matter and, upon reviewing the recordings and content of Omusunsuzi that aired during the period of March and April, summoned and promised to reprimand Salt TV for going against the commission’s minimum broadcasting standards.
Full Figure was removed from the Omusunsuzi programme as a result of the development and was a no-show today
