Ground breaking at Ntungamo Health Centre III

Construction of a two unit staff house at Ntungamo Health Centre III Butogota Town Council will cost 152,567,313= Shillings.

The contractor is Ms. MKET TECHNICAL SERVICES.

Renovation of Maternity ward floor from cement to Tarrzo at Matanda health centre III Kihiihi Sub-County will cost 65,985,600=

The contractor is Ms. Rukan logistics U LTD

Amanyire Ambrose Mwesigye RDC Kanungu has halted the construction of Ntungamo health Centre III untill the engineer produces a detailed report confirming whether the work so far done at the site is best of what is needed. This came after the team suspected that the foundation so far at the ground is not of the best quality.

Dr. Mutahunga Birungi DHO Kanungu emphasised that the Mayor, facility in charge and Town clerk should be with the BOQ’s to know what is supposed to be done at the ground for easy supervision.

Saturday Jackson the District Population Officer who represented the CAO after listening to the DHO’s concern about the heads of department being the project supervisor instead of the Engineer who has technical knowledge about the works, Mr. Saturday Jackson assured the team that CAO’s office is going to make sure that the District Engineer is the project Manager not the heads of departments.

Kenneth Tumuhamye the Secretary social services who represented the district ChairPerson was concerned about the cracks on the verandah of the almost complete Health Unit and advised that the verandah should be demolished and rebuild for the contractor to hand over the complete quality structure.

John Bosco Mayor Butogota Town Council assured that he will keep an eye on the project to make sure that quality work is provided for the Butogota Community. He also recommended the district for thinking about Butogota Health Centre.
