My son died while trying to rescue others

This is why this picture has gone viral and making everyone sad,

Her son is the fisherman who played a hero and tried to save lives when the boat cruise tragedy happened on Saturday night but unfortunately the small boat he had taken to rescue the victims also capsized and everyone he had rescued plus himself drowned.

To any mother, there’s nothing worse than loosing a child. This elderly lady still waits with a lot of agony and anguish for the body of her son which has not yet been retrieved up to now.

We praying God comforts you mom!

Meanwhile in history, The Drone Media can tell you this: That in May 2011, the then information Minister,Kabakumba Matsiko unveiled the good news that Uganda had bought 8 Russian Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jets worth $744.

As usual, the ever confused opposition led by Besigye and Nandala Mafabi ran mad criticizing the purchase as illegal and draining to the Central Bank’s reserves!

This Saturday, I watched these jets hovering low directing police divers over the spot where the disastrous boat capsized. Being foresighted, NRM knew that you don’t wait for war or disaster to buy fighter jets.

In 1987,Philippine ferry, Dona Paz collided with an oil tanker MT Vector. With 4,386 passengers, only 24 survived! Up to now, this remains the deadliest marine disaster in peacetime history.

NRM learnt, and since then, regardless of our meager budget and senseless opposition from the opposition, we have tried to secure our people on our waters.

The marine unit was created, modern ferries have been introduced and above all, a rapid response unit is ever in action. Hope Besigye, Nandala and the group will apologize.

However, it is high time Ugandans started fighting corruption. It because of corruption tendencies that the ill boat was allowed to sail. How can police officers claim the revelers refused their orders. They must have given them bribes!
