NAMIREMBE RETIRES SIX CLERGY.

The Clergy at Namirembe
By Our Correspondent
According to the constitution of the Church of Uganda, when a clergy reaches sixty five (65) years, he/or she is required to retire from active ministry. This year six senior clergy are set to retire at the end of this year after serving God in realising the mandate of reaching to all nations in the world preaching the salvation gospel.
The Diocesan Synod which sat on 27th October 2020 from Bishop Dunstan Nsubuga Hall presided over by the Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira- Bishop of Namirembe bid fare well to six clergy who have offered outstanding service to God.
The synod appreciated their work and gave each a certificate of appreciation and in the same way recognising their contribution towards the development of God’s Church.
The joy of saying goodbye

To God be the glory for the great things He has used them to do in His Church. Wish you a fruitful retirement.
When they [Paul and Barnabas] had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed. (Acts 14: 21-23).
This is why I [Paul] left you [Titus] in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you… (Titus 1:5).
