Kiiza Besigye pressure group stirs Kyagulanyi camp

Yesterday Dr Kiiza Besigye together with many disgruntled opposition political players whom the NUP wave swept formed a new coalition pressure group allegedly to force Gen. Museveni out of power.

However the new pressure group that is without the opposition most popular figure Hon Kyagulanyi Robert from the National Unity Platform has raised so many unanswered questions as to whether this New force has been started in good faith.

Members from the opposition especially NUP have seen the new pressure group as formed to rival the People Power pressure group that was formed towards the 2021 polls by the then Kyadondo East MP, Hon Kyagulanyi.

Inside sources within the Besigye camp have said that NUP top players were contacted in writing and invited to join the pressure group but turned down the offer saying that they already had a pressure group (People Power) instead invited the Besigye camp to join who also refused.

Sources also added that Besigye wants to appear on the ballot paper once again in 2026 something that will cause chaos in the opposition especially when its clear that Kyagulanyi will give a second shot to his presidential dream come the next election cycle.

It is yet to be verified if Besigye actually wrote to Bobi Wine inviting him to join the new coalition force.

Members of the public especially those who are NUP leaning have once again branded Besigye as a mole working for the regime who wants to weaken and fail Kyagulanyi.

However, such statements are drafted by the regime to weaken Pressure Groups, which they fear may eat them up. The regime always comes up with well ochenstrated statements to divert patriotic leaders and subsquently rob them confidence. These counter accusations among the opposition have always done more harm than good. The portractors of such propaganda have aged now.
