UPDF officer dies in lodge his sh24m disappeared

Major Joseph Mukuraine, 44, a UPDF officer and manager of Wazalendo, an army SACCO, Entebbe branch, was found dead in Birunga Lodge, Kiwatule, a city suburb.

Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango said that the serviceman booked in at the guest house on Wednesday at night and was found dead Friday morning.

Information gathered by the Drone indicates that the deceased arrived at the lodge on Wednesday and booked a room for three days.

On the second day (Thursday), he left in the morning but asked management not to giveaway his room, he would later return in the evening.

On Friday (yesterday) the management was notified by the cleaner that the UPDF Major was not opening his room.

At around midday, management of Birunga broke into the room only to find the soldier lying lifeless in the bathroom. After notifying authorities, several military trucks stormed the premises and soldiers rounded up everyone and taken them in their pick up trucks.

The Drone Media has also learnt that Major Joseph Mukiraine was the manager of Wazalendo, a UPDF SACCO, Entebbe branch.

While leaving Entebbe, records show that he signed for  sh24m which was not recovered at the crime scene. This, the sh24m could be the source of his death. At Birunga Lodges, there are many idle brown women and brats, who chew green leaves and puff out smoke like chimneys.

Police have confirmed arrest of at least 26 suspects on allegations of killing a senior army officer from a guest house in Uganda’s capital Kampala.

“We are screening them using finger prints picked from the screen and surface touches at the scene- and using the CCTV footage that was picked from the hotel,” Patrick Onyango said.

One thing Ugandans should know is that you cannot commit murder and you are not got. Whoever could have done this will pay back.
