Abdallah Kitata has been sentenced to 40 years in Jail

Gen Kayihura’s blue eyed man Emperor Abdallah Kitata has been sentenced to 40 years in Jail by the General Military court martial. Abdallah Kitata was the chairman Boda boda 2010 a group well-known for brutality against whoever was opposed to NRM and specially Kayihura’s enemies.

He was charged among other cases which includes possession of Military hardware illegally on orders of Gen Kale Kayihura who was the Inspector General of police.

According to legal experts, Kitata may have to appeal for a light sentence though not charges. The former Boda boda 2010, might be given less years but they will not be less than 20 years.

This will be in civilian courts, but the charges won’t change.

Meanwhile his bail application has also been denied:

Kitatta’s Fresh Bail Application was opposed, ruling is for November, 2018.
-Kitatta applied for bail through his lawyer, Siena Owomugisha on grounds that he is the sole bread winner of his family comprising of three wives and 13 children who depend on him for survival.

The General Court Martial chairman, Gen Gutti, set November 6 to deliver the court’s ruling on the bail, leaving Kitatta with a ray of hope that he could gain temporary freedom in 10 days, unlike in May when he had wept in court as his bail plea fell flat.
