The youth in Uganda believe President Yoweri Museveni must go by Military means.  A survey carried out among active Ugandan youths has revealed.  The survey aimed at asking the youths what they think of defeating President Museveni through elections.

The youths consulted were those in the major 10 cities of Uganda. (Kampala, Masaka, Mbarara, Mbale, Gulu, Jinja, Arua, Kabale, FortPortal and Wakiso area.) A total of 1000 youths were consulted about the matter between January 26th and February 24th.

Many youths think that elections lost meaning; they are just a means of legitimizing President Museveni’s stay in power. Youths say that the government has failed to tackle the issue of unemployment which has affected mostly the youths.

They add that the NRM regime is so corrupt which has affected service delivery. They also add that President Museveni has over stayed in power and therefore has outlived his usefulness.

Youths also complain about the massive abductions of people especially the youths who support the National Unity Platform.

Youths say that time has come to use force to push Museveni out of power because all constitutional means have been closed out.
