Bad Black wins big at Sudhir

Shanita Namuyimba aka Bad Black has been appointed the official brand ambassador of Victoria University.

The Jinja Road based private University on Monday signed a one year agreement with Bad Black to among other provide marketing services to the University.

According to contractual terms, Bad Black is expected to engage in the “business of brand marketing” through her various platforms. The controversial socialite has over years made headlines for cases involving fraud, drug abuse, indecency among others.

In 2012, Bad Black was sentenced for 4years in prison for stealing her former British lover’s sh11bn. Black has publicly confessed how she has used her body to ‘extort’ money from men and prides about having sex with several men in Kampala and other neighboring countries.

Black’s appointment has ruffled feathers on social media with people questioning her moral credibility to be a brand ambassador of a reputable university.

“So Victoria University advocates prostitution,” a one tweep Nick Drew said. Others however, congratulated her saying, “the sky is the limit Bad Black.”

The University owned by businessman Sudhir Ruparelia was recently in the limelight after its Vice Chancellor Dr Lawrence Muganga was arrested over espionage.

Namuyimbwa, whose real name is Latifah Nalukenge, was born on 27 December 1989, in Zana, Uganda, along Kampala-Entebbe Road. She attended Midland Primary School, in Kawempe, a neighborhood in the north of Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. She dropped out of Senior 2 (equivalent of Final Year in Middle School), allegedly due to lack of school fees. It is not clear which secondary school she was attending.

In her own courthouse testimony, under oath, Shanita became a prostitute in 2005. Prior to that, she had tried several different trades, including hawking merchandise on the streets of Kampala.

According to Shanita, she averaged US$200 a day, servicing three clients every 24 hours on average. Weekends were better than weekdays. She targeted Caucasian men “because they had dollars, which I was most interested in”. She operated mainly from Kampala Speke Hotel.
