32 golfers tussle in Rd 2 at Singleton Golf Challenge

Thirty two teams will be tussling out in Round two of the Singleton Match Play Golf Challenge that tees off this Saturday at the par 71, Entebbe golf course.

A total of four ladies teams are vying to move to the next round of Season IV for this mouth watering knockout team golf challenge tournament.

Wendy Angudeyo and Doreen Mwesigye take on Dr Peter Apell and Andrew Baguma in one of the highlighted ties.

Other notable ties will see Sheila Kesiime and Gloria Mbaguta, the sister act taking on Tony Katamba and Paul Ojambo.

The professionals will also have their first qualifier with last year’s winner Abraham Ainemani, seeking to become the first pro to win back to back crowns with a prize fund of 15 million for the golfers to play for.

Caroline Namutebi and Judith Kyomugisha take on Moses Mukiibi and Conrad Odere while Entebbe Club’s Ladies Captain Rita Apell and Aidah Khamis taking on Innocent Kihika and Maurice Ongwech.

The winning pair at this team event tournament will win an all expense paid trip to watch the Omega Dubai Classic in 2021. There is also a brand new car Mitusubishi Sports for any golfer who hits a hole in 1 on the course with Victoria Motors offering the car for this feat.

The Main sponsor of this golf tournament is Uganda Breweries Limited under their premium brand Singleton Whisky other co-sponsors include Victoria Motors, Dstv Uganda, CBA Uganda, HTC Hub, Marsh, Serena Hotels, RwandAir, Pinnacle Security, Street Club Entebbe and Ekspreso Womera.

The theme night on the 19th Hole experience is Texas/Denim/Cowboy and will have comedy spicing up the guests and golfers.
