Close to 40 members of staff at the China- Uganda Friendship Hospital, Naguru face sanctions for absenting themselves from work and reporting late for duty.
The affected persons, mostly medical workers, have been asked by the hospital management to submit written explanations stating why they missed duty for more than 15 days this month.
A letter requiring them to submit explanations was signed and stamped by the hospital director bearing the names of 39 implicated staff.
Some of the people reported on duty for only one day, while the person who worked more days is recorded as having reported to work for 10 days between July 1 to 19, 2018.
The affected persons, mostly medical workers, have been asked by the hospital management to submit written explanations stating why they missed duty for more than 15 days this month.
However, some of these workers were genuinely sick; they were even hospitalized in the same hospital, but the machine could not explain the predicament. The biodata machine is only only fed with the paper cards, if the paper card is not entered it will show absence.
