DID PASTOR ROBERT KAYANJA EVER CLEAR THE SH5B YOUTH FUND?

When poverty or hunger bites you that is the time you will remember the day you wasted away food; it is the day you will recall your debts etc. Related to this situation therefore; The Drone Media upon the mandate of the youth, raises a question of the “Sh5b Youth Fund.”

Did Pastor Robert Kayanja ever clear the obnoxious sh5b Youth Fund? While you still wait for the answer The Drone Media will take you through the corridors and narrate how Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathederal was put on spot over the youth fund.

A group of youth, through Rwakafuuzi and Company Advocates, in May, 2018, wrote to Pastor Robert Kayanja, demanding accountability for sh5b he had purportedly collected from them. According to the youth, between May, 2015 and December 2015, Pastor Kayanja who was reportedly the Patron of Version 86 Youth for National Transformation, asked them to group themselves in 10s and each group paid sh500,000 contributed equally by the members to Miracle Centre Cathederal.

As it is, the groups were promised funds for youth self-employment in an endeavor to alleviate and eliminate poverty and bring a stop to unemployment among them.

According to Ladislaus Rwakafuuzi, the Human Rights’ lawyer who represented the youth, they wanted Pastor Kayanja to explain why they had not received the funds.  They also wanted him to refund their money, or else they would drag him to court.  Some of receipts showed the money was paid on July30, 2015.

On May 29, 2015, Pastor Robert Kayanja organized a Version 86 event at Namboole Stadium which was attended by over 100,000 youth from across the country. The meeting was presided over by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. It purportedly aimed at providing the youth with mentorship, enablement for job creation activities and possible sponsorship of their income generating programmes.

Surprisingly, Pastor Kayanja laughed it off, referring to Rwakafuuzi as an idle lawyer with nothing to do. He acknowledged the youths’ complaints but said they were impatient.  However, two years have elapsed but the sh5b is only written about. Nobody has seen its crawling prints.
