It is the end for National Theater

Those renting the National Theatre premises have been given until the end of this month of June to vacate. The Uganda National Cultural Center (UNCC) ordered tenants to pack and move out in a meeting that was held on 7th-June-2017.

The national theatre has been really badly of in the past years despite its location near the parliament. The building is among those in Kampala which were constructed before 1969. Now it is set for demolition to make room for a 36-storey tower.

From our reliable sources, the proposed plan; the facility is set to be transformed into a mega complex with multi-million shopping mall, cinema, bars, restaurants, and a parking.

The same happened to Shimon Demonstration School back then in 2006.
