Makerere University infighting exposes greedy dons

Bad politicking is damaging the oldest university in the country according to our highly placed sources.

This infighting dates back in the days of Prof Ddumba Ssentamu. There were people close to the president who used to feed him and or his emissaries with date to day information about the university.

This caused bad blood between the Head of  the State’s quarters and the Vice Chancellor or part of his staff.

Its is highly thought that it is the same issue to the current leadership headed by Prof Nawangwe.
Sources well placed at Makerere University indicate that there are people close to the President and his wife who hold the docket of the Ministry of Education which directly supervises the University.

Our sources inform us that some of the people giving Prof Nawangwe sleepless nights may include the Principal of the College of Public Health, Prof Charles Ibingira, the Principal of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Resources and Biosecurity, Prof John Kabasa, the Deputy University Bursar among others.
