Uganda’s Hipop singer Kigozi in anti-plastics campaign

Singer Navio Kigozi may not be articulate in mother-tongue, but is anti-plastics.

He does not speak Luganda, but he usually attempts to communicate in a well calculated medium. Whenever Navio communicates it is to the point. This time around, he is speaking agaist plastics.

This time around, Navio is in a campaign against plastics. Today, Saturday, March 20, 2021 the Hipop singer is in Ggaba at  Ggaba Hotel for a special event to raise awareness of the problems caused by plastic pollution. He will be making a very special appearance; as in, he will give a treat to whoever attends the function.

“Plastic is choking our lake and harming the lives of people and animals on its shores. We must take action to stop this menace – come on down and join the crew the flip flop to see how we can all make a big difference!
We can only make a change to plastic pollution if we reduce, reuse and recycle plastic waste,” asserts Navio.

Navio advises, “And you can start right now by reducing the number of plastic products you buy. And this is how you can reduce your plastic use…”

♻️ Stop using plastic straws and encourage businesses to stop offering them
♻️ Bring your own reusable bag or basket when shopping to quit using all those kavera
♻️ Use a refillable water bottle to stop buying a plastic bottle every time you need a drink

“For all the progress inspired by the Global Goals one barrier impedes them all: the choice we make in our everyday lives continues to fuel consumption and production habits that are increasingly extending beyond the limits of our planet. Our SolveDifferent campaign focuses on an informative and emotive approach to communicating the environmental cost of key consumption and production models.”
