PROF. JOHN DAVID KABASA LOSES STUDENTS’ MONEY THROUGH A CON MAN

Professor John David Kabasa is sad and blue. He has just lost students’ money out of negligence. This money, The Drone Media has learnt, belonged to the Makerere University students from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (COVAB).

A source at the Ivory Tower told The Drone Media that the students are crying uncontrollably.  Well, the story is that a conman went through the College Principal Prof John Kabasa and coned them their money.

It is alleged that Prof. Kabasa got a phone call from a guy claiming to be working with Uganda Virus Institute and wanted to offer jobs to 10 best students who have just graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Biomedical and laboratory Technology.

Students claim that Prof. Kabasa without back-checking passed on the Information to the Dean Dr. Frank Mwine who in turn contacted the students and gave the alleged conman’s mobile number. It is alleged that the students called the guy, he asked each one of them whether they are registered with the Allied Health Professional Council which all said negative.

He convinced each one of them that he could contact the registrar of the council to register them at a fee ranging from one million. By the time the principal and the Dean made background check money had exchanged hands. The students had been robbed. The Professor was reduced to a lower level of thinking.

Although this was an orchestrated mission by city con men,  who are well informed; Professor would have disproved them. A professor is not an ordinary man; he does critical thinking. How is he trusted with college property and great budget especially for research?

A source says about sh15millions was lost in this scenario. The goons are now in some hotels planning for another mission. Now, if you are reading this make sure your child who has returned from school is well guarded.
