The Drone Media  has learnt that Record TV Uganda has closed business in Uganda.  According to sources close to the Managing Director, Ezekiel Motsoeneng, the Kira Road -based television, will close business in Uganda come 31rst March, 2021.

Motsoeneng intimated that the Record TV has had bad business, which was accelerated by the outbreak of COVID-19. Record TV Network Uganda, started its operation in Uganda on January 29th 2006.

Record TV  is an affiliate of Record TV International, which is a Portuguese-owned free-to-air channel that broadcasts 24 hours via satellite and cable with digital parameters, all in Portuguese. Record TV International is focused on transmitting programs from Record TV and Record News, except for independent programs abroad.

Well, Motsoeneng revealed to The Drone Media that the TV will pay all journalists and other workers before, closing shop on 31rst March next month.

Sources have revealed that Captain Mike Mukula duped the owners that he was bringing buyers, but instead, he ended up brokering his way into business. He reportedly told the owners of Record TV that State House was interested in buying it, but he instead brought in his two old cars, which he used to claim ownership.  However, the truth is, Mukula never bought Record TV and neither acquired shares.
