Reveling youth drown into Nile Waters

More than 30 people are feared dead after drowning at Nile Discovery. It is alleged that as a routine, Uganda Police was enforcing curfew directives so they stormed the perimeters of Nile Discovery to disperse the youthful revellers who had gone partying past the curfew hours.

So when the patrol arrived, everyone on the scene ran and dived into the water so that they swim and cross over.

Apparently, due to the bad weather of Sunday evening, the waters were volatile and so many youths ended up drowning in that evening.

By close of business yesterday, it is alleged that 17 bodies had so far been retrieved from the water. The 3 of the deceased are youths aged 25 years and have been residents of Nile village, UEB Quarters.
