UBA’S NOAMI ASIIMWE IN DOMESTIC SCANDAL

The Head of Prestige Banking at United Bank of Africa (UBA), M/S Noami Asiimwe recently filed for a judicial separation under application number 005 of 2019 at Kiira Grade One Magistrates Court, accusing her husband William Muhereza of cruelty.

However, in his defence, William Muhereza accused his estranged wife of adultery and sex starvation that was as a result of sex denial.

The trouble reportedly originates from an army officer who has been digging the Garden of Eden, yet it was not his garden. This army officer is reportedly the former Head of the UPDF’s Joint Anti Terrorism Taskforce (JATT), who is now a Major Joseph Kamusiime.

Major Kamusiime is accused of having a sexual affair with Muhereza’s wife, Noami Asiimwe.  This sexual affair reportedly resulted into a child, who Muhereza wants a DNA test on. Muhereza suspects that the child was sired by Major Kamusiime.

The couple reportedly wedded on July 24, 2010 at the Church of the Resurrection, Bugolobi. He then started suspecting his wife of cheating on him in 2013 when she allegedly started living a life beyond her earnings.

That she would go out with various men who would buy her expensive gifts like cars and sometimes they would sponsor her foreign trips to cities like Lagos-Nigeria, Dubai-UAE, Mombasa-Kenya, Kigali-Rwanda and USA.

In 2016 the couple got their third born, but Muhereza suspected it was sired by Major Kamusiime. As luck would have it, on January 29, 2019 Muhereza landed on a text messages, pictures and mobile money transactions between his estranged wife and Major Kamusiime.

Your guess is as good as mine, as in whatever happened when the two met is a village talk. The house maids in the neighborhood say that even the grass has not yet grown on the ground where the scuffle took place.

After the scuffle, the wife suggested that they should go for DNA test which Muhereza welcomed. Surprisingly, as they were signing the DNA test forms at a clinic in Bukoto, Kampala, the wife sneaked out of the clinic only to return with police men from Kiira Police Station who arrested him.

A case of grievous harm on SD;Ref: 83/29/01/2019 was registered against Muhereza. Two days later, he was remanded by Kiira Grade One Court magistrate, Joan Aciro to Luzira Prison until February 15, 2019 when he was released on bail.

Muhereza says all this was the invisible hand of his wife’s side dishes. He was to reappear in court on 22nd March, 2019 but Naomi Asiimwe was absent. It was adjourned to April 25th.

Although the estranged wife opted for a judicial separation as per application number 066 of 2019, her husband says the marriage has gone beyond reconciliation and therefore they should divorce.  A judicial separation allows the marriage to remain though they live apart.

Divorce puts an end to marriage. All mutual rights, obligations, stand terminated. The parties are free to marry again.
