President Museveni meets Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan of Sudan

President Yoweri Museveni has today met with Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Military Council of Sudan. The two leaders discussed issues of bilateral importance to their countries. The Drone Media reported this meeting last evening.
The meeting took place Wednesday afternoon, after the host ( President Museveni) received the Chairman of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Sudan, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan who paid a courtesy call on him.
General Fattah is also the current chairman of the regional body Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD)
He congratulated the President on his resounding victory in the recently concluded elections in Uganda.
“You are an inspiring leader in the region and Africa”.
The President and his guest discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to the two countries – Uganda and the Republic of Sudan, as well as regional matters.
