A brief biograpghy of Brig sabiiti mzee Magyenyi

Afande Sabiiti Mzee

He was born in Mbarara District Kashari constituency 1975. Sabiiti’s father Zekeriah Muzeyi Magyenyi was married to one of museveni’s martenal aunties, a veteran of Uganda’s bush war. His mother is Marry Bafunda Magyenyi

The young Sabiiti attended Ntare School, then Mbarara High School before he was admitted to Makerere University

At Makerere he studied biochemistry, graduating with a First Class Honors degree of Bachelor of Science. He went for masters at adis ababa university.
In 1997, he joined the UPDF, signing up in what was then the Presidential Protection Unit(PPU). PPU has since been renamed theSpecial Forces Command(SFC). Sabiiti attended boot camp at Kasenyi Training Wing, in Entebbe.
Later, he studied at the Uganda Senior Command and Staff College, in Jinja, in Uganda’s Eastern Region. Muzeyi Sabiiti has successfully trained and gained military knowledge and skills from countries like Isreal,UK,China, India and recently he was Russia military college.

When PPU was renamed PGB, maj Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba at the helm, Sabiiti Muzeyi was selected as his second-in-command. Sabiiti, at the rank of Lt Colonel, commanded the unit, when Muhoozi was in South Africa, attending a military course

He became Brigadier and Commander of the Uganda Military Police, after his return from the Russian military course. On the evening of Sunday 4 March 2018, he was appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police.
He is well known and much respected for his integrity, commitment at work, patriotism,discipline and loyalty to the commander in chief.

In April 2017  President Yoweri Museveni appointed him (Muzeyi) the former Deputy Commander of Special Forces Brig Sabiiti Muzeyi  as a commander of military police.

He replaced Col Emmanuel Kanyesigye who was then promoted and appointed the Fourth Division Commander in Gulu. He replaced Brig Kayanja Muhanga. It is approximately a year, and Sabiiti Muzeyi is appointed Deputy Inspector of Police (DIGP).
