Like those birds hooligans will lose appetite

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has said that those who have been attacking NRM people in Kampala will soon lose that appetite to the extent that when they see uniform of NRM they won’t touch it. They want to create violence so elections are not held.
“Elections will continue,” President Museveni asserted. The Commander in Chief of the armed forces H.E. Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni is expected to address the country on many issues especially the ongoing violence on Sunday, November 22, 2020.
He said Uganda is stable and the NRM government will not allow those seeking to mess with this stability to get away with it.
“Also, for those attacking NRM supporters, you will lose this appetite. You are entering a terrain in which we are experts,” President Museveni assured rioters.
“I hear he is working with foreigners the homosexuals to bring trouble here. We know all what he is planning and we are ready to intercept it. He will lose that appetite and he will regret. Ugandans will have peace at any cost. We shall deal with these excited fellows who think they can intimidate us,” President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni said.
The truth is  that CoVID-19  is real and it’s taking the lives of vulnerable people amidst us. We are in an election period and the candidates who are vying for different positions all seek to have the masses on their side but the reality is that we are living in a difficult and challenging time.
For this reason, the electoral commission of Uganda put up guidelines for all candidates to adhere to strictly during the campaigns which unfortunately are being flouted by some candidates.
It is regrettable and hurting to lose life and property. Some innocent souls died while others were injured in the violence that took place this week.
Such acts of violence especially because of political affiliation are a miscalculation. The right to associate is a God given right and is enshrined in the constitution. Nobody should take that away from you but during these COVID-19 times, gatherings are restricted and you need to adhere to government regulations.
Can you imagine some women were being stripped in broad day light by hooligans. This is unacceptable and should be condemned by all leaders across the political divide. A police officer was assaulted by a hammer wielding goon. How on earth would one do this and not expect retaliation by the armed forces? Let’s not participate in violence. Let’s condemn all acts of hooliganism.
