Pastor Bugingo prophesies Ruto as Kenyan President
Uganda’s controversial Pastor, Aloysius Bugingo has kicked a storm in the tea cup by declaring Kenya’s Vice President, William Samoei Arap Ruto as the next president.
Bugingo issued the prophecy during the Wednesday lunch hour prayers at his Makerere House of Prayer International Ministries, church at Makerere Kikoni.
“ I declare Ruto the next Kenyan President,” Bugingo stated to the amazement of the followers he had caught unawares.
Unlike his colleagues who have uttered such prophesies before, Bugingo didn’t say God appeared to him in a dream and pronounced Ruto the incoming Kenyan President.
Kenya’s sitting president, Uhuru Kenyatta backs former political nemesis, Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga to succeed him.
But the court in Kenya appears to have scattered Odinga’s fortunes after disallowing machinations masterminded by him and Kenyatta to ostensibly make him a sole candidate. This locks out or covertly cut into Ruto’s chances of becoming the next president.
Bugingo claims how Ruto came to Uganda looking for him to bless his presidential bid.
” I duly prayed for him. I blessed his bid. I confirm to you and the world, that Ruto is going to become the next president of Kenya,” Bugingo insisted drawing more applause from elated followers.
As if to demonstrate he means what he is talking about, Bugingo stated that even if Ruto looks a simple man, God is going to raise the Kenyan Premier to the highest office in his motherland.
Bugingo hasn’t been in the business of issuing prophesies like his colleagues such as Pastor Robert Kayanja. Kayanja a senior pastor at Miracle Center Cathedral, prophesized during one of the presidential elections that a candidate was going to die, but none died!
Many a Ugandan understood Kayanja to be referring to Dr Kiiza Besigye. President Museveni had told the country while decampaigning the opposition candidate Besigye was going to die in office.
Museveni alleged Besigye suffers from a terminal condition and that it was unwise to elect him president!
But Besigye has since lived on and for many years hence depicting Kayanja as a false prophet!
Who is Bugingo?
Bugingo converted to the Born Again faith in 1991. He started off as an usher at Victory Church in Ndeeba led by Bishop Dr Joseph Sserwadda. The man hailing from Masaka quickly proved himself to be a prolific preacher of the gospel.
His quick grasp of the word of God as well as the Holly Bible and oratory quickly attracted the ear and eye of Sserwadda who quickly enlisted him as one of his assistants, going on to give him space on Impact FM to further the gospel.
A very ambitious man, Bugingo would later migrate from Ndeeba with the burning desire to be his own boss.
After preaching on the streets and from many churches, Bugingo finally started his own church and named it House of prayer international ministries.
He had by now married his first wife, Teddy Naluswa with whom he begot a number of children. They have since bitterly separated with the man accusing the woman of sabotaging him and working with his haters in the job of ministry.
Bugingo before dropping the senior wife had taken on his former employee at Salt media one Nantaba.
Naluswa accuses Nantaba of sabotaging his marriage and taking his man.
Bugingo is now living with Nantaba. He swore in the past he will never reunite with Naluswa unless God came down on earth and ordered him to do so! Naluswa keeps beckoning Bugingo to return to the marital bed, but she appears to be recalling a prison breaker.
