Bobi Wine is free at last.

This after he was arrested in Kasangati as he addressed his supporters this morning. He was briefly detained at Kasangati police station and later whisked off to Kiira police station. He has now been released from police custody and no charges have placed against the singer.

The “Bikwaswe Kyagulanyi” singer was arrested in Kasangati town as he prepared to hold his final rally at Kasangati  Saza grounds.

It has now emerged that the singer was actually supposed to hold his final rally in Gayaza.

“I was supposed to be in Gayaza, but was later informed that he President was going to use the same place. I am a gentleman and I wont fight them. We are heading to Gayaza for our rally.” He said upon release.

Bobi, who is standing on an independent ticket, will go against FDC’s Apollo Kantinti and NRM’s Sitenda Sebalu among others in a by-election that will be held on Thursday, June 29.
