HIV and COVID-19 fake cure inventor arrested from Kyambongo University

The Drone Media has learnt that Police has arrested this Kyambogo University student Robert Mujumbi who has been claiming to have a cure for COVID-19. Police in the company of National Drug Authority (NDA) searched what Mujumbi has been claiming to be a laboratory at his residence in Bweyogerere only to end up in his bedroom.

We published the earlier version believing that Dr. Mujumbi was a genuine person because of the document that bore Ministry of Health stamp.

This is how it was: As you prepare to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, known in the ends of the world as Easter, rest assured that the cure for HIV and COVID-19, has been successfully invented at Kyambogo University in Uganda.

In a document Dr. Robert Mujumbi, an adult male citizen of Uganda and a graduate of Science Technology-Biology of Kyambogo University, sent to Ministry of Health -Uganda, regarding the COVID-19 Cure, the key milestones is a cure of HIV infection.

Dr. Mujumbi states that he has been doing independent research in the field of Molecular Medicine. The HIV medicine he invented is administered intravenously, and it is done once, and within four weeks from the time of its administration HIV viral load turns undetected (including the pro-viral DNA) and this result is consistent irrespective of the stage of disease; a case in point, which was the most advanced stage that this cure worked for, is of a patient with the viral load of 10,700,000 copies/ml of plasma and this turned undetected within four weeks.

Dr. Mujumbi, in a letter says, the trial was conducted in April, 2018 and up to now this individual is still HIV negative. The Kyambogo University says, ” Basing on my experience in dealing with HIV, an RNA virus like the Coronavirus, I am strongly compelled to believe the same procedure used to develop a cure against HIV can generate positive results against Coronavirus.

Dr Mujumbi says he has gone ahead and created a protein, which he believes and is very certain can cure COVID-19 infection.  In his method he said he designs an enzyme that selectively digests the genotype of the virus. The therapy is done intravenously and because of the high specificity of this enzyme recovery is expected with immediate effect.  Basing on his experience, it takes up to 10 days to produce this enzyme.
