BUSABALA EASTER MONDAY SHOW STOPPED-BUT BOBI WINE DEFIED GOD

Honourable Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is once again clashing with Uganda Police Force. As usual, the issue is disrespect of authorities. According to police, the organisers of the Easter Monday show at One Love Beach, Busabala, did not meet the requirements. Therefore, police stopped the show.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT IT?

The Bible rightly advises us in Romans 13: Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.

So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.

For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you.

The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.

So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.

However, defiant Bobi Wine vows to put the show by force. He does not only disobeys government, but also God. Thus he will be rewarded by the Almighty God who revealed this.

Bobi Wine sent this message on his facebook page: “We have just received this letter from the Uganda Police Force stopping all our scheduled music shows – including the one scheduled for tomorrow at One Love Beach, Busabala.”

“They have been playing ping-pong games for over a month since we wrote to them. Three days ago, they wrote back to us giving us a litany of requirements. We invested huge sums of money to meet their demands, some of which were unreasonable. This was in addition to what we have invested in advertising and preparing the show.”

‘I think they thought we would fail to meet them. When we did and submitted them, the responsible officers started hiding themselves from us! Last night, they intercepted the trucks which were carrying the machines for the show.’

Today, this is the letter they gave us:  “No show!” ‘Please remember, all other artistes are not required to fulfill any of these requirements and their shows have not been stopped. This brings the total number of our blocked concerts across the country to 124 since October, 2017.’

Bobi Wine concludes, “We shall not sit and watch as our rights continue to be violated. WE SHALL RESIST THIS IMPUNITY.”
