Link Bus accident leaves 36 victims

The Link Bus accident has left 36 victims hurt. It is alleged on 07/Feb.2023 at Nabingola Town Council in Mubende district a link bus UBF 967K was coming from Bwera in Kasese district when it reached Nabingola at Chinese Company then smoke covered the road and the driver lost sight there by over turning.

The cause of an accident was smoke from Chinese ply wood factory covering the road.

The police led by Asp Atamba Amos assisted by Sgt Byamugisha and Sgt Kwarija visited the scene, made a sketch plan pending, identified the victims and rushed them to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital using police ambulance and red Cross ambulances.

The police already has the driver and the command centre has been informed.

The number of victims is 36 in total and other victims has been rushed to private medical centers.
