Companies with poor customer service in Uganda

Customer service in Uganda has been regarded the crappiest ever existed across Africa. If your company has not been mentioned you will have to wait for the second mention or may be it has been left out by default.

Otherwise, like Dixon Okello put it, almost every service and product delivering company in Uganda has its butt in the faces of customers, farting uncontrollably because the customers cannot really do anything.

Okello says that if you quietly complain, they do nothing and if you are unlucky, they tell you to go to hell. But customers are Kings, these business managers don–t know it.

Some of these companies, which betray their causes and provide lousy services, are mentioned below. The Uganda Drone has helped them to lose customers and is trying to remind them to do what’s right.

Here they are:

  1. Supermarkets: Quite many culprits, here, with the biggest being Mega and Capital Shoppers. An item on the shelf is given a different price from what is in the “system”. So you pick your stuff and match to the cashier, only to end up having to do away with part of your selection. Crap.2. Total Bukoto and Wampewo Avenue;
    It seems they both employ one guy to do wheel alignment and balancing, and the (probably) works at his own terms. When you get there at 10:00 AM, you will be told he has not yet arrived.

So you wait for another hour before giving up. You return at 5:30 PM and you will be told he has “just” left, and cannot come back. Do they think we have nothing else to do during the day?

3. Airtel;
Every time they give out “free” data, they kind of make sure the service is so slow that you can barely use it. So you have no choice but wait for the data to expire before you can load your own bundle.

  • Quality Supermarket, Ntinda;
    How does a supermarket worth its repute close business before 10PM?5. Crane Bank (ATMs);
    They are in the habit of claiming ATM cards are “not properly inserted”. So you have to keep trying and trying and trying 55 times until the machine finally reads the card.

Upon accepting the card, it suddenly freezes, making a single withdraw could take up to 10 minutes.

6. Stanchart Tellers;
The slowest tellers in the history of banking. A single person over the counter transaction could last 30 minutes.
