Gilbert Bukenya cited in the Mwenda-Sheebah saga

In the twist of events, former Vice President Gilbert Bukenya has been cited in the Mwenda-Sheebah sex scandal.

As it is, Sheebah Kalungi performed at Former Vice President Gilbert Bukenya’s birthday party last weekend. He was celebrating 73 years of age.

In a video that has become viral Sheebah Kalungi alleged that Andrew Mwenda indecently assaulted her by fondling in the presence of armed body guards.

According to news archives, Gilbert Bukenya who was the host has been in such sex scandals more than once. The first incident was the KK Health Club in Ntida, which involved a masseuse.  While the second one involved Jamila Nakku, a Muslim woman.

Jamila Nakku said she got married in a traditional ceremony to the former  Vice-President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya, who was already married through the Catholic Church.

It was with great shock that the former Vice President was in entanglement with Madam Nakku.  It was definitely absurd because many Ugandans had always held him in high regard.

It was definitely the kind of scandal that tarnished his image and changed the way Ugandans looked at him. Whether it was a political backhand or his own doing, you really cannot be sure. You needed to hear his side of the story before passing judgement and making sweeping statements, but still he never said anything.
