Goons pelt empties at Bebe Cool

Singer Bebe Cool aka Moses Ssali was forced to leave the stage at the SwangZ All Star Concert, Lugogo, last night.

The charged crowd that was mostly dominated by goons who reportedly got free tickets to disorganise Bebe Cool, as planned pelted objects including beer bottles at him amidst his performance before the security escorted him to safety.

Herein we bring you what people are saying: Sane James, “I have never liked Bebe Cool, but the level of maturity he exhibited yesterday night at Lugogo, transcends all the mockery and bad names he has been named.”

‘Bebe Cool you are a hero and you definitely carry a picture of the future Uganda we all dream about. You didn’t argue, never fought and never instructed your fans to leave the ground. Much respect for you brother.’
“I was not your fan as of yesterday, but right now, the way I see you has changed. A Uganda where everyone can co-exist peacefully irrespective of our political choices,” Sane asserts.

Stephen Kato says, “We are living in a democratic country where everyone has a right to express his or her opinion about politics. Confronting and attacking someone because of his opinion is wrong and it is unacceptable.”

“Let’s respect other people’s opinions, If you can’t allow him (Bebe Cool) to express his political views towards his affiliation when you don’t have power, what will happen to him if you grab power? Kato wonders.

“And will you allow any one to criticise you really? ‘People Power’ Our Power’ but still let your power  allow others to criticise you and stop harassing others because of differences in politics, religion, tribe. We are all Ugandans.”

“And do not politicise everything in our day to day life, lets put politics aside when it comes to music and while having fun and happiness,” Kato counsels.
