HON SAM KUTEESA IS IN THE NEWS

Apart from the new year’s excitement, Ugandans are obnoxiously perturbed by the fact that Hon Sam Kutesa has been mentioned in many scandals, but he never got any penalty.  This is what is piling the anxiety in the country.

1. In the year 2000 Kuteesa was mentioned in a deal to procure technology for INMS.
He was also named in a deal where UGANDA lost 1million US dollars to supply ballot papers for local gov’t.

2.In 2005 he was named in the privatisation of Uganda Diary Corperation Limited UDCL a deal Hon Bright Rwamirama described as outright robbery. PPDA disqualified the company but he managed to bypass PPDA and got the deal.

3. In the year 2009 the aging minister  was part of the election deal worth 15 million US dollars to update the voters register.

4. In 2012 SAM KUTEESA was cited in the construction of the Karuma and Isimba power dams.

5. In 2011 Sam Kuteesa, John Nasasira and Mwesigwa Rukutana were mentioned in the procurement of the 2007 common wealth heads of state visit CHOGM.

6. In 2014 Sam Kuteesa was accused of corruption over the battle for his candidature for UN General assembly presidency.

7. In 1998 the parliamentary committee concluded that it had been manipulated by Sam Kuteesa and some big heads in government over corruption.

8. In 1997 sam Kuteesa was named by the parliamentary committee for soliciting a bribe between 2-6 million US dollars over the sale of Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

9.  In 1995 Sam Kuteesa undervalued his shares later sold them to himself and Gen. Salim Saleh. Parliament censored Kuteesa but no action was taken.

10. In 2016 The 1.6billion was reportedly given to Sam Kuteesa by Patrick Ho a Japanese tycoon.

That is why some Ugandans advise that Major Nakalema should first hold these other than wasting resources on small people while the big guns are there basking in corruption.  It is such cases that will give a precedence.
