I am alive-Salim Saleh

Gen Salim Saleh has laughed at people spreading fake news that he is dead. He told a gathering at Kapeeka to go and inform the prophets of doom that he is alive and kicking.

He further instructed whoever cared to tell them that he is mobilizing his people to have good life through the use of the Parish Development Model (PDM) Saccos, where government is channeling the funds for various farm enterprises.

Gen Saleh said people avoid working and opt to discuss his health. He wondered whether his death will improve their livelihoods.

“Some people have announced me dead but I am here in Nakaseke talking to my people. Tell those that are spreading fake news that you have seen Saleh working and mobilising people to get better through engaging in developmental projects,” he said on Sunday.

The retired Army General was at Our Lady Consolata Kapeeka Church, where he ralllied Christians to use PDM Saccos to improve their livelihoods.

This is not the first time Gen Saleh is being announced dead. Whenever some disgruntled Ugandans want to hurt the ruling family in Uganda, they fabricate such fake news about his death, but the amiable Rtd Gen always commes up to say he is alive.

God knows the intentions of the fabricators of such fake news about an amiablle Rtd Army Gen. Analysts have described the spread of fake news about the death of Saleh as a defeatist approach to existing and burning issues. It is an attitude some people have relied on.

Having a defeatist attitude means that you give up before you’ve even started, like the runner who is so convinced he’s going to lose the race that he doesn’t even bother to go to the starting line. A defeatist is the opposite of an optimist. There they are!
