HON ODONGA OTTO RELEASED ON BAIL

Gulu grade one Magistrate Christine Turibamwe on Tuesday afternoon released Aruu County Member of Parliament, Hon. Odonga-Otto on a cash bail of 500,000 shillings.

Odonga was arrested last week and remanded to Gulu Central Prison after he was charged with assault and malicious damage.

The MP was accused of assaulting Gulu based Journalist, Geoffrey Okot who had gone to cover a Fufa Drum game between Acholi and West Nile region in Pece Stadium in June last year.

He was also charged with malicious damage from Pader district where he allegedly smashed and damaged a car of a local resident.

The MP is expected to report to Court on 25th of next month
