Leone Island’s Small Axe is dead

Sad news streaming in is that one of the singers in Jose Chameleone’s Leone Island, Small Axe alias Abdu Mwanje, is dead.

Small Axe is known for his songs  that include Gwendoota, Ekikulya and “Marry me.”

The singer who was very much inspired by jamaican maestros, reportedly succumbed to sudden illness and breathed his last in the evening of Tuesday, March 10th, 2020. He has survive by a child, he loved so much and he always took photographs with the child.

Small Axe was inspired by Jamaican Rastafarians, who believed they were the small axe, ready to cut big trees. The song writer of “Small Axe” became an international musical and cultural icon, in an early version of the Wailers’ “Duppy Conqueror,” the singer’s desire to conquer, the singer promised that the “duppy,” a Jamaican term for a dead spirit, would be The Wailers’ “Small Axe,” while casting Babylon ambiguously as the “big tree.” This is actually what inspired the late Abdu Mwanje aka Small Axe.

Eleven years ago, that is 2009, Small Axe reportedly dated an American girl, but another artist stole her from him. A distressed Small Axe, almost went mad. He told the press that  the girl whom he had been dating, was reportedly stolen by one of the singers in the Goodlyfe crew.

The singer reportedly locked himself inside his bedroom for three days without seeing the sun; and that when concerned relatives forced their way into the house, they found him frail!

He reportedly told his buddies and relatives that one of the singers of Good Lyfe stole his American girlfriend.

Small Axe intimated to his buddies that he met his girl, but when he left Leone Island, the girl later met a hotter musician who swept her off her feet.

It could be the mental torture that Small Axe got due to the loss of her beloved American girlfriend that has led to his death. However, more details are streaming in, keep your eyes on The Drone…..
