Rukungiri District Muslim Kadhi Inaugurated

The Inauguration Ceremony Of Rukungiri District Muslim Kadhi. Sheikh Abdul Malik Kayole Byaruhanga was yesterday 08/01/223 inaugurated as the first official Kadhi of Rukungiri District Muslim community.
Rukungiri district and Kanungu was formally led by one Kadhi Sheik Abdullah Mpabuka.
Two years back Kanungu was granted it’s own district and Sheik Abdullah Mpabuka was transferred to Kanungu as a Kadhi and the offices of Kanungu district are located in Kihiihi at Kihiihi Main Mosque
One of the reasons why Kanungu was split from Rukungiri was very big for one district Kadhi and District Chairperson who was then Abudullah Nzigira who is now the district Chairpeeson Kanungu to supervise.
Rukungiri Muslim council was curved out of Kabale district Muslim Council in 1974.
The function was blessed by the President of Uganda H.E Y K Museveni who was represented by Security Minister Jim Muhwezi Member of parliament Rujumbura Constituency in Rukungiri district.
He delivered a brand new vehicle land cruiser Numberless black in colour for the new Kadhi.
Hon.Jim Muhwezi called upon Muslims to keep on supporting Movement government which has brought peace in Uganda.
Sheik Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje applauded Rukungiri Muslims for the corporation he saw, emphasising that development will be easier if they keep unity with one voice.
He called upon Muslims to support and be part of government projects like NAADS, Emyooga, Parish development model (PDM).
“Muslems are supposed to totally submit to the will of God and Islam represents peace so let us be one, cooperative and hard working” He said.
Mubajje advised muslems to start projects that can benefit the Ummah like rearing goats, Poultry, Mushrooms, he added that added that Agriculture is the key to Africa so as Ugandans mostly Rukungiri where he had seen fertile lands they should involve themselves in planting cash crops like Coffee, Tea. He gave a relevance of Kanungu district which is now known for tea plantation.
