Pandemonium ensued when thugs posing as security operatives tried to kidnap three (3) Americans who are victims in a sh37bn gold scam, in broad daylight at Village Mall in Bugolobi in Nakawa Division.

CID spokesman Charles Twiine says the thugs had a waiting car and tried to arrest the “victims for eating food at a restaurant in Munyonyo without paying, they attempted to drag them into the car, but the fight was hard.
The gold saga involves several security personnel from intelligence units, civillians, lawyers and high profile state mafia.
