Mikie Wine introduced by Shazney Khan

Bobi Wine’s young brother, also a musician, Micky Wine aka Michael Mukwaya, was yesterday introduced by his longtime girlfriend and a mother to his three children, Shazney Khan. This function was attended by chosen few who included NUP boss, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine.

Remember Shazney Khan, the Mukyotera girl, who marked her body with a tattoo of Micky Wine’s name, saying she was ready his wife? It has come to pass. This Saturday, yesterday it happened. Mukwaya is fully recognized as a Muko at Khan’s family.

Micky Wine was named Michael Mukwaya at birth. He comes from the Ssentamu family of about 40 children.

His siblings are Eddie Yawe, Chairman Nyanzi and the former Kyaddondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine. Micky is the second last born from his mother.

Micky followed the footsteps of his brother and continued working on becoming one of the hit-makers and most appreciated musicians in the country.

After the passing on of his mother, he lived the hardest time of his life. They had to hustle together with his other brothers but thank God for the elder brother Nyanzi who gave them a big hand. Micky was a mummy’s boy who always kept him by her side.

Micky Wine later moved on to stay with Bobi Wine who was paying for his school fees. By that time, Bobi had already married Barbie although it wasn’t yet official. Since he was well behaved, Micky says it was easy for him to stay with Barbie whom he describes as a very cool and humble lady.

Born Michael Mukwaya, a young brother of Bobi Wine, Mickie Wine is a local artiste behind songs such as Yanimba, his breakout hit with Eddy Kenzo. Other hits are Namata and Owakabi among others. From childhood, he knew that one only becomes a man when he owns a house.
