Minister Anite fires back at Mwesigwa Rukutana over Utl money
There is a new showdown between Minister Anite and the usual suspect, Deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana.
Mwesigwa wrote a long letter pointing out reasons why Anite has no powers – under the Constitution to have the UTL Administrator fired over incompetence.
Anite on the other hand, describing Rukutana’s letter to be containing a ‘litany of fundamentally flawed opinions’ has asked the Attorney General to consider her petition to fire the administrator as soon as possible, without further delay.
She says when she wrote to the AG, she wasn’t seeking for opinion, but rather instructing for action.
We should recall recently when Rukutana told Bamugemereire and her Land Commission to ‘go and hang’ or take their questions even to God. He is known be a no nonsense man who carries his gun wherever he goes.
Evelyn Anite herself has not been spared from controversy.
She is remembered for bragging to the opposition that they (NRM government) have the support of the Army to silence any bad manners from the opposition.
However, this is good for the public. It has been exposed how government funds are chewed openly by people who claim to be more NRM than even God. It has also been revealed that the said Utl Administrator has been chewing sh65bn undeclared dividends. The man of sin has not been declaring anything.
The authorities don’t see any danger but this impunity is causing too much anxiety among Ugandans. While the bonafide tax payers go hungry some people are heaping billions in their pockets.
