Namutumba accident kills UPDF Major

Yesterday the 29th March, 2023 the traffic police at Namutumba Police Station registered a fatal accident at Mazuba Village along the Mbale-Iganga highway in Namutumba District, which claimed life of a UPDF officer.

The accident involved motor vehicle registration number UBN 376C, a TX Prado, that was being driven by a one Warrant Officer 1 Mathias Ssefoloza a 51 year old attached to Olillim Training School, who lost control of his vehicle and knocked motor vehicle reg no UAF 265F, a crane which had parked off the road.

The accident killed Major Aceta Alex, a UPDF officer also attached to Olillim Training School on spot. Major Aceta Alex was a passenger in the Prado. The prado was from Iganga heading to Mbale side. Two people sustained injuries and were all rushed to Iganga Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
