Nansana Court orders detoother to refund loot

A Kawempe lady has been ordered by the Nansana Court to pay her boyfriend ugshs 237,500 after he sent her ugshs 30,000 to pay for a taxi to attend the man’s birthday party but the lady did not show up and instead switched off her phone.

The man went to a court in Nansana and filed the suit together with evidence which includes his Airtel-money statement and WhatsApp chats between him and the lady before and after sending the money after the lady ignored his messages and then switched off her phone.

The lady was ordered to refund the man ugshs 30,000 plus interest of ugshs 7500 and a further ugshs 200,000 in damages for the emotional anguish he went through. The lady was detained awaiting payment of the damages by her friends and family. The local magistrate says he’s going work hand in hand with authorities and the boychild to eradicate the vice amongst kampala girls.
