The Drone Media has established that police officers are hiding behind Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to hurt citizens.

Recently, an officer at CPS, Kampala devised means of making instant cash and later slopped down to Kampala Road, where he purchased 100 masks each at sh1000.
He then started arresting whoever was not wearing a mask, the condition was, you either buy the mask at sh10,000 or be jailed. By the end of day, the officer had made sh5m from masks of sh50,000.
This broad-day robbery spread to Katwe Police Station and it went on for two days until the media reported about it and it was later abandoned. Police officers are extorting money from bar owners; boda boda cyclists who are caught up by curfew times.
Ask motorists, they are forced to feign car stickers because if the way to your home is traffic laden, you will always get problems with curfew hours. Therefore, some motorists have resorted to printing stickers for emergency cars.

The journalist asked them under what law were they stopping him from taking photos a public entity. The errant officers beat him to their satisfaction. After realizing that he was going to open a case against them, they, instead opened a case of D/Act likely to spread infection.
Honestly, that case can only apply to defiant rioters, bar owners, school operators, who are still barred by law SOPs. This misinterpretation of law and abuse of Human Rights while hiding behind SOPs, is unacceptable.
There is need for justice. Police is covering errant officers, why? Police Mandate is to keep law and order. So if officers are assaulting citizens, are they keeping law and order? Someone should answer!
