Bobi Wine’s Kyarenga concert cancelled

News coming to our desk for The Drone Media indicate that the impeding concert dubbed Kyarenga Concert has been cancelled.

The story is that Uganda Police Force was informed about Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine’s concert scheduled to take place on the 20th of October 2018 but the security details did not favour it.

Mbu the police provided a provisional clearance pending consultations with sister security agencies, which later discovered ill motives of the so called Kyarenga concert.

Police together with other intelligence organs have reportedly found out that the concert has a hidden agenda of overthrowing the legitimate government of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

“We have gathered intelligence indicating that the concert will be turned into a political rally which will be commanded to go on streets,” a police statement stated.

It has also come to police’s attention that such events are used to insult the person of the President where degrading names like Bosco are used to refer to the President as it was the case on the 28th of September 2018 in Masaka district during the Democratic party event.

“We informed Hon. Kyagulanyi about our decision but as usual he defied our orders and went on to publicize the concert,” a police statement further explained.

The  police statement further advised, “The public is hereby warned not to go to Namboole on the 20th as it will be illegal.”

This therefore serves to confirm that the Kyarenga concert has been cancelled until further notice.
An independent source intimated to The Drone Media that the People Power hooligans had equipped themselves with weapons of mass destruction to pelt whoever could not agree to their demands on stage.

Besides, the concert was intended to be a political rally of sorts. All ill manners had been organised to discredit the sitting government.
