NTV’s Muhumuza meets death on expressway
The traffic police in Entebbe has today morning, 25th.March, 2023, confirmed a fatal accident at around 0820hrs at Mpala opposite Mpala Road Toll along Kampala-Entebbe Express highway.
According to police the accident involved motor vehicle reg No. UBG 323S (Passo) that was being driven by Muhumuza Edward, a 32 year old Journalist working with NTV Uganda.
Muhumuza reportedly lost control of his vehicle and went off the road, knocked sign post and overturned several times, killing him on spot.
The cause of the accident has been attributed to over speeding. However, more inquiries are still at hand. His body has been conveyed to City Mortuary for postmortem examination.
Many journalists are mourning. Moses Walugembe eulogizes, “Unbelievable! Very thorough senior news reporter. Edward Muhumuza Omega was a young gentleman, I worked with him closely at Vision Group and his story was always one of our top headlines. I can vividly remember his passion, creativity, honesty and confidence. What a loss! I am completely lost of words. May this young soul. RIP.”

Edward Muhumuza Omega is expected to be buried tomorrow (Sunday 26/03/2023) in Kyegegwa , but there will be public viewing at NTV Uganda Headquarters (Serena Hotel Kampala) later in the evening today Saturday . Media fraternity is mourning.
