NUP Lawyer Shamim Malende is ill

The National Unity Platform (NUP) lawyer Shamim Malende is ill.  Unfortunately, her illness comes in at a time when Uganda is rocked up in poison scare.

The Drone Media has learnt that Malende’s illness has devastated the opposition party members because the illness that has slowly ‘eaten’ one of their own and a strong party diehard, is unknown.

The Kampala District Woman legislator has, reportedly been hospitalized for days and is battling a yet to be known illness.  “She is bed ridden in a yet to be identified health facility,” a source at Kamwokya told The Drone Media.

“We seek your prayers on the life of Hon. Shamim Malende Kampala Woman MP who is bedridden for days now. Currently receiving treatment,”  a source confirmed to this channel.

It should be noted that Malende’s hospitalization comes at a time when the poison talk is at its peak following the death of Hon. Jacob Lokori Oulanyah whose father claims was poisoned by ‘haters’.

Besides being a politician, Malende is a Ugandan lawyer and the proprietor of Malende & Co. Advocates and is also a lawyer to the opposition’s public figure Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine.

According to people close to her, Malende has been bedridden for days with some people already suggesting that she should be flown out of the country for further treatment since her sickness has persisted.

It is not yet clear which hospital she is currently receiving treatment from with her inner circle friends saying they are mute on the matter just for the purpose of privacy and safety of their friend.

Malende’s phones are answered by her Personal Assistant. However, the PA cannot say anything apart from saying that her boss is not in position to speak to any one at the moment. This is the state of affairs at the moment.
