A city pastor has been dragged to LC 1 court for failing to pay his land lord to the tune of 44m accumulating as arrears for renting a flat which serves his church.

Pastort Dunstan Kagwiisa of World Restoration Centre Church located in Masiki zone , Mengo  behind Ndejje University Mengo Campus is  facing the storm after his land lord Prince Kateregga petitioned the LC1 court asking for a redress.

Kateregga first petitioned the presidential office which sent its officers to establish the factuality of the matter before asking the area LC to handle the matter or they take over in case LC fails.

Kateregga says pastor Kagwiisa has been renting his flat since 2011 but has not been paying well.

“This man has become a problem to me. He does not want to pay . he has almost 45 millions of mine in rent how can that happen? I need my money now” lamented Kateregga while addressing the LCs.

Kateregga accuses Kagwiisa of arrogance and nbon commitment. He says at one time he even tempered with his pillar bars since he put his church atop of his unfinished flat.

The same flat is used by campus students as hostel on the ground floor while the church is being run upstairs.

The LC 1 chairman Kizito Kitaka Masiki a grand son to Buganda ‘s  former leader Masiki said he has  summoned Kagwiisa twice without showing up .

“At one time he sent aides who said they were going to pay up but only stopped at  promising” said Masiki.

When contacted at church, the pastors’ run boy said he could not meet the writer with out any appointment.
